September 3rd, the day you took my breath away 

September 3rd, the day my soul found peace 

September 3rd, the day the world made sense to me

September 3rd, the day I fell in love with you 

September 3rd, the day I first heard your beautiful laugh 

September 3rd, the day you kissed me in the streets of Deep Ellum

September 3rd, the day my life changed forever 

September 3rd, the day you didn’t respond to me

September 3rd, the day I had to break into our home 

September 3rd, the day you were found, lifeless 

September 3rd, the day my world came crashing down 

September 3rd, the day your soul found peace
